Over 2 million people expected to visit Plovdiv in 2019

Over 2 million people are expected to visit Plovdiv in 2019 when the city will be European Capital of Culture, deputy mayor of Plovdiv Stefan Stoyanov announced. The organizers of Plovdiv-European Capital of Culture 2019 said that nearly 500 events will take place in different parts of the city. Most events will be broadcast by the Bulgarian National Radio, which according to Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism is the public media with highest level of trust, BNR Programme Director Martin Minkov pointed out.
