Code Yellow over low temperatures was issued in most Bulgarian districts on Thursday. Strong winds are expected in Southeast Bulgaria and along the Black Sea coast. The daytime temperatures will remain below 0 C in many places. Rain and snow are in the forecast for Thursday as well. The roads are wet and some mountain roads are covered in ice. The national roads are passable in winter conditions. All motorways and first-class roads are open for traffic. Some towns and villages, mainly in Northwestern Bulgaria, were left without electricity due to heavy snowfall. The border crossing Kaynardzha-Lipnița near Silistra (Northeast Bulgaria) was closed due to the yellow weather code issued on Wednesday by the Romanian Meteorological Administration.
