In January 2019 the total business climate indicator in Bulgaria increased with 1.9 percentage points as compared to December last year, the National Statistical Institute announced. The business climate index in industry increased with 4.1%, which was mainly due to the good condition of the companies and their forecasts about exports and production activity. In construction the business climate indicator rose with 1.2 percentage points mainly due to increase in new orders in this sector. The business climate indicator in retail trade dropped 1.7% and in services it increased with 1.2%.
