Notwithstanding the difficulties, I can say that the main activities planned in 2018 have been performed, and the results are positive, said Chief of the Defence General Andrey Botsev.

General Botsev presented the annual overview analysis of the army’s performance. “This gives us reason to say that the year has been successful,” General Botsev added, addressing a working conference on defence, taking place in Sofia with the participation of President Rumen Radev, Defence Minister Krasimir Karakachanov, and the senior command.

“In order to maintain the standard necessary for taking part in missions with the NATO and EU member countries, effective solutions were sought to the problems of recruitment, personnel, armament, equipment and resources available,” General Botsev said.
