Bulgaria needs to import builders: Engineer Ivan Boykov

New construction projects worth over 2.5 billion euro are to be implemented in Bulgaria because the programming period for highways and gas pipelines is about to end, there are back orders in the sphere of the environment, in water and sewerage.

On the other hand there is a high rate of emigration. That is why the best thing would be for qualified builders from Bulgarian communities in other countries to come back. There would be no language barrier, though I don’t know if their numbers would be enough to meet all needs, said engineer Ivan Boykov, until recently head of the Bulgarian Construction Chamber, commenting on Vietnam’s proposal to send workers over to Bulgaria.
