After Bulgarian parliament unanimously ratified the protocol on the accession of North Macedonia to NATO, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov thanked the MPs for this “wise decision”.
The Bulgarian Prime Minister commented that North Macedonia’s NATO membership was made possible thanks to the settlement of the naming dispute and the final ratification of the Prespa agreement by Greece. Boyko Borissov added that Bulgaria has always supported North Macedonia’s accession to NATO, and that his government was among the first to have approved the accession protocol, signed in Brussels on 6 February.
