Data show that the share of people to whom Europe is a direct life experience is bigger by far than the political discourse. 53 percent of people of working age with one family member working in the EU say they are ready to emigrate to other EU countries - 27 percent permanently, 26 percent temporarily, and 12 percent are undecided. Besides qualified specialists, unskilled workers are also emigrating to Europe in large numbers. The most mobile are the Roma, the Bulgarian Muslims and the Bulgarian Turks. Out of the 6 million active Bulgarians, 33 percent or 2 million work and live, temporarily or permanently in another country of the EU, Afis data indicate.
