The Bulgarian Biodiversity foundation has developed a new interactive online map “walking and cycling routes in the region of Osogovo”.

The border mountain of Osogovo is well suited for different kinds of tourism – hiking, mountain biking etc. The map aims to popularize tourism in Osogovo by presenting all of the routes in the region in one place. It presents 34 walking and 20 cycling routes, some of which cross over into the neighbouring Vlahina mountain. The map also shows the section of the EuroVelo route the Iron Curtain Trail which passes through the region. The routes lead to most of the interesting locations in the area. Each has a description, a GPS-track, an altitude profile and photographs.
