The forthcoming purchase of F-16 fighter aircraft will be made with money from the reserve, Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov said. The negotiations between Bulgaria and the USA continue within the 1.15-1.3 billion USD price range. The US offer is for a price of USD 1.3 billion, but Sofia hopes to reduce the price of the 8 fighter jets with another USD 115 million without influencing the military capabilities of the fighter aircraft. At the end of next week a US delegation will arrive again in Bulgaria to hold the final talks related to the signature of the deal, Bulgaria’s Minister of Defense Krasimir Karakachanov said.
