Tsveta Karayancheva and Sergey Lavrov have discussed possibilities for boosting Bulgaria - Russia relations

The Su-25 aircraft of the Bulgarian Air Force will be repaired in Bulgaria, which has invited Russia to send Russian engineers and specialists to engage in repair works. This was what President of the Bulgarian National Assembly Tsveta Karayancheva said at a meeting in Moscow with Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov. Karayancheva pointed out the recent intensification of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Russia. Lavrov confirmed that starting in September, Bulgarian students will be able to work part-time in Russia and that next year Russia will increase the number of scholarships for Bulgarian students from 225 to 300. Karayancheva and Lavrov pointed out the importance of developing bilateral relations in the energy sector and said that both sides were making efforts to support these relations.
