Bulgaria’s Vice-President Iliana Yotova opened a Regional Academy- "European Perspective of the Western Balkans". In the presence of participants from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia and Serbia Vice-President Yotova said that three Bulgarians are discussed to occupy senior positions in the EU, which means a lot to Bulgaria. Iliana Yotova contends that Sofia should have several options for European Commissioner, in order to nominate the most experienced person for this senior position. The EU enlargement should always stay on the agenda and Bulgaria should maintain its leading role in the process of EU integration of the Western Balkans, Vice-President Yotova said and added there is no dilemma between economic partnership with the Western Balkans and the political enlargement. The Berlin Process cannot replace the future real membership of the 6 Western Balkan countries in the EU, Vice-President Yotova went on to say.
