Bulgaria’s law-enforcement authorities dismantle two illegal cigarette factories employing Ukrainian and Moldovan citizens

The Bulgarian law-enforcement authorities dismantled two illegal cigarette factories near the city of Plovdiv in the villages of Trud and Razhevo Konare. Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov, this country’s Deputy Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev and the Secretary General of the Ministry of Interior Ivaylo Ivanov arrived at the village of Trud. Premier Borissov announced that the cigarette factory was producing high-quality cigarettes of world-famous brand and the state budget was losing around EUR 7.5 million a month from that illegal production. The process of the factory which employed people from Moldova and Ukraine was very well-organized. Boyko Borissov presumed that at least EUR 5 million was invested in that factory.
