SOF Connect Consortium selected as Sofia Airport Concessionaire

The SOF Connect Consortium, which includes French company Meridiam Eastern European Investments in partnership with the operator of the Munich Airport - Flughafen München, have won the concession tender for the Sofia Airport.

This was announced by the Bulgarian Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, Rosen Zhelyazkov. The contract may be signed after the expiry of the 15-day period during which the other candidates may appeal against the decision in court. The concessionaire will be operating the Sofia Airport for 35 years. The company must build a new third terminal by the end of the tenth year of the concession, as well as to expand Terminal 2.
