The World Bank opened a shared services centre in Sofia. At the ceremony PM Boyko Borissov thanked Kristalina Georgieva, saying that through her work at the World Bank she had demonstrated that Bulgarians are trustworthy.

Boyko Borissov cited, as an example of good cooperation, the concession tender for Sofia airport, in which the World Bank was consultant. Emphasizing that the construction of one of the most important corridors – Sofia-Skopje-Tirana – is forthcoming, the Bulgarian prime minister said he wanted to see the World Bank finance the enterprise, but also monitor the entire process, because it is of geostrategic importance and will give a powerful impetus to the development of the region.
