The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency will monitor twenty kilometer safety zones near the outbreaks of African Swine Fever and around the large industrial pig-breeding farms and the areas of intensive breeding of wild boar for hunting. The measures aim to curb the spread of the infection. Currently there are 15 areas of outbreaks of African Swine Fever in Pleven, Vratsa, Veliko Tarnovo and Targovishte districts. 500 pigs have been culled by the authorities in the recent days as part of the measures to curb the spread of the infection.
