The largest study of cetacean mammals in the Black Sea basin ended in nearly three weeks. The researchers flew over 12,000 kilometers during the study. A total of 1.750 cetacean mammals have been registered in the aquatory of five Black Sea countries-Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Turkey and Georgia, the Green Balkans organization, who studied the Black Sea eco system and made a monitoring on the cetacean mammals in the Black sea together with observers from four other countries, announced. The Black Sea is an inland sea and is highly-vulnerable to human impact, the Green Balkans point out. That is why similar monitoring projects carry important information on the state of sea resources.
