The National Academy of Art in Sofia has thrown open the doors of its studios to children. Throughout the month of August the participants in the summer academy for children and school-goers will be able to draw, sculpt and develop their creative skills under the guidance of mentors – academy students.
The 10th edition of the initiative was kick-started by a special event called Children drawing outside. At the end of August the children will arrange their works in a colourful exhibition at Academia gallery.
The summer academy is a project by the Academy of Art’s St. Pimen Zografski foundation. It has been such a success that, for the second year running, the event is on Sofia municipality’s calendar of significant cultural events.
