The international expedition Abora 4-Argonauts from the Stone Age sailed away from Varna port. Bulgarian archaeologist Teodor Rokov from Varna is also part of the crew. The other 11 crew members are citizens of Germany, the Netherlands, Bolivia, the USA, Russia, Turkey and Greece. The simple reed ship is 14 meters long, 4 meters wide and 2 meters tall. It was built on the shore of Lake Beloslav near Varna by two Indians from the Aymara tribe who inhabit the shores of Titicaca Lake. Rock drawing from the Caucasus, Egypt and Mesopotamia were used during the building of Abora 4 vessel. The main goal of the expedition is to cross the trade route between the Black Sea and the Eastern Mediterranean which was once described by the ancient Greek historian Herodotus.
