In August 2019, the consumer price index in Bulgaria increased slightly with 0.1 % as compared to the previous month, data of the National Statistical Institute shows. The average annual inflation, however, stabilized at 2.9%, which is below the inflation registered in July-3.2%. In April this year, inflation hit five- year highs-3.7%.
