The Bulgarian cabinet has approved a proposal which reads that the EU should start accession negotiations with North Macedonia and Albania. This country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva specified that Sofia will insist that the two countries become EU members en bloc, because the separation of North Macedonia and Albania in the accession process may lead to instability in the region.
