A total of 12,700 Bulgarian companies offer international road transport services. 75% of these companies are small and operate with up to 5 cargo vehicles. 42,500 people are employed at these companies. They receive an average monthly salary of EUR 1,750. In 2018 a total of 25,800 Bulgarian cargo vehicles operated in Europe.
