President Radev has called on government to propose common European plan for migration response

At a meeting with Prime Minister Boyko Borisov, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev called on the government that at the Council of the EU it should raise the issue of developing a common European response plan in the event of a sudden increase in migration pressure at the European external borders. A request for such an operational plan was submitted to the Council by the Head of State in 2017 and discussed at the EU Presidents' Summit on October 11 this year in Athens.
