“We have to reestablish new categories of media literacy for the public, and it is not just the public's fault, we in the news business can do a better job of showing our ethics, of building our relationship with our audience,” said American journalist, lecturer and entrepreneur Paul Glader* for the Bulgarian National Radio.
Paul Glader combines an outstanding career in journalism (economy and finance) with religious journalism. He is a lecturer at King’s College in New York City. He has founded several training programmes for journalists in different countries around the world, and is founder of a startup – a browser extension for combating fake news. Here is what he said for the BNR during his first visit to Bulgaria:
*For 10 years he has been working for The Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post, New Yorker, Der Spiegel, Bloomberg Businessweek etc. He is executive director of The Media Project, a non-profit news platform and training program for international journalists and founder and CEO of VettNews, a news trust and verification tool to help identify fake news.
