Premier Borissov presents in Brussels energy plans of Bulgaria’s cabinet

Within the frameworks of the European Council dedicated to climate change held in Brussels Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov welcomed the Green pact for Carbon Neutrality adding that the agreement envisages zero carbon emissions until 2050 and that each country will set its energy mix alone. Premier Borissov acquainted EC President Ursula von der Leyen with Bulgaria’s energy production and the plans of the energy sector for the coming years. The place of the nuclear energy in Bulgaria’s energy mix, the measures undertaken to guarantee security of natural gas supplies, the construction of the Bulgaria-Greece interconnector and the fulfillment of the Balkan Stream project were in the focus of the conversation between Premeir Borissov and EC President Ursula von der Leyen.
