Foreign Ministers of Bulgaria and South Korea hold meeting in Madrid

At the Asia-Europe Forum held  in Madrid, Bulgaria's Foreign Minister Ekaterina Zaharieva held talks with her South Korean counterpart, Kang Kyung-wha. Our meeting is an opportunity to reflect on how we can build on the results of Prime Minister Boyko Borissov's visit to Seoul in September, Zaharieva said. She renewed the invitation for a visit to Sofia extended to South Korea's President Moon Jae-in. A president of the Republic of Korea has never visited Bulgaria. His visit would be very emblematic next year when we will celebrate 30 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries, Zaharieva added. Together with Kang Kyung-wha, they also discussed attracting South Korean investments in Bulgaria. Bulgaria's first foreign diplomat also voiced support for Seoul's efforts to find a diplomatic solution to the problems existing in the Korean peninsula.
