Suspected members of Calabrian mafia Ndrangheta arrested in police operation in Bulgaria

The Italian news agencies report that in the course of a large-scale operation against the Calabrian criminal organization Ndrangheta, there have been arrests of mobsters also in Bulgaria. More than 2,500 police officers participated in the operation. A total of 334 arrest warrants have been issued and there have been arrests of suspects also in Germany and Switzerland. 
Ndrangheta is considered to be the most powerful mafia-type organization in the international drugs smuggling. During the police raids property valued at a total of EUR 15 million has been seized.
