Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov was invited to meet Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan and Russia’s President Vladimir Putin on January 8 in Istanbul to discuss the gas supplies to Bulgaria through the Turk Stream gas pipeline and the construction of the Bulgarian section of the Turk Stream called Balkan Stream. President Erdogan invited Premier Borissov to attend the official opening of the Turk Stream. The Bulgarian Council of Ministers has not yet confirmed whether Borissov accepted the invitation. The Bulgarian Council of Ministers told Dnevnik that so far a meeting between Premier Borissov and the United States Under Secretary of State David Hale was scheduled for January 8 in Bulgaria.
