Jeff Kinney, Yordan Yovkov and Mark Twain are among the most popular authors in Dobrich

Dairy of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney, Short Stories by Yordan Yovkov and The Prince and The Pauper by Mark Twain were among the most popular titles in the Regional Library in the town of Dobrich (Northeastern Bulgaria). According to a research, older readers most often choose titles of Romain Gary, Michel Houellebecq, Frédéric Beigbeder, Amelie Nothomb, Margaret Mazzantini, Haruki Murakami and other authors of contemporary literature. Georgi Gospodinov, Zahari Karabashliev, Zdravka Evtimova and Georgi Bozhinov are the most preferred Bulgarian writers. However, the youngest readers most often choose the book Gangsta Granny by David Walliams, This Book is a Secret by Ivaylo Dragiev and Hristiana Peneva, Top Mysteries of Bulgaria by Slavi Panayotov. 

The Regional Library is the biggest library in Dobrich district and keeps over 400,000 books on its shelves. At the beginning of 2020, its fund was enriched with over 2,400 new books.
