Over 75% of households in Bulgaria have access to the Internet in their homes as the growth for 2019 is 3 percent. 58% of users receive internet via cable connection and 64% have mobile Internet, mostly through their phones. Households with children make more active use of the global network, with 90.5% of them having access to the Internet, compared to 70.0% for households without children. 85% of working people in Bulgaria use the Internet, while with the non-working part of the population the percent is 45. The younger and more educated consumers are, the more actively they use the Internet, while the elderly and uneducated use the Internet less.
Only one fourth of those with Internet access use the global network to get in touch with public institutions.
