Valuable documents connected with the relationship between the patriarch of Bulgarian literature Ivan Vazov and his muse – writer, translator and public figure Evgeniya Mars have been handed over to the Archives State Agency. They include 106 letters, 40 postcards, 20 signed portraits of Vazov. The relationship between the two spanned the years form 1905 until 1921, though to this day the nature of this relationship is unclear. In every one of her letters to the writer Evgeniya Mars uses the police form of address. Judging by the letters the two had two objectives – on the one hand their communication was important to them, and on the other, they wanted to spread rumours about themselves so people would talk about them.
