Vice President Iliana Yotova presented, to the Council for Work with Bulgarians Abroad, an initiative for creating a museum of Hristo Botev in the village of Zadunaevka in Ukraine.
The house belonging to Toma Vakarenkov, in which Botev lived while a schoolteacher there, was bought by the Bulgarian consulate-general in 2016, and has been renovated.
The council also discussed amendments facilitating the study, at Bulgarian higher educational establishments, of foreign students of Bulgarian descent.
Bulgaria has become a more attractive place to study. This is indicated, among other things, by the reactions among the historical Bulgarian communities with which we are in constant contact, said the Bulgarian Vice President and laid emphasis on the need to set up a register of students who have graduated in Bulgaria.
