40,000 e-clients of Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency threatened by software issues

The access of more than 40,000 citizens to the e-services of Bulgaria's National Revenue Agency (NRA) can be interrupted in a few days. This will be because of the security measures taken by the revenue agency when transferring data between its servers and users. As early as January this year, the NRA warned that all of its clients should upgrade their operating systems because old versions would no longer be supported by browsers. This mainly affects clients who use Windows XP OS and older versions of browsers. The renewal is due to happen by February 17th, and it is also possible that people with older versions of Windows 7 will have their access interrupted.

About 1 million people use the electronic services of the National Revenue Agency.
