Bulgaria's Prime Minister Boyko Borissov has denied having properties and businesses in the Spanish province of Catalonia. The anti-corruption police in Barcelona are checking whether Borissov is involved in an "international money laundering" scheme, according to a publication in the Spanish newspaper El Periodico which also talks about a luxury property and a 5 million euro store.

"What should I say? I understand these tricks played by cops", Borissov commented on the publication in front of journalists during his visit in Brussels today. The PM added that he had been warned about the publication. It was planned to be larger and was tied to a coup attempt against him, but it failed, he said.
Borisov called for waiting until the end of the so-called investigation of the Spanish police.
