The agriculture ministers of Bulgaria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Romania have adopted a common policy on agriculture reform in the EU. They call on equalizing farmers' subsidies as this should not be at the expense of countries that are below the average level of direct payments. The implementation of the EU Green Deal in agriculture means more sustainable use of chemicals, increased protection of soil, water and air, as well as the implementation of climate eco-measures. New standards require higher costs taken into account when adopting the Multiannual Financial Framework, which should keep its levels from 2014-2020, the statement said.
