Bulgaria is not threatened by a migrant wave from Turkey, this country’s Premier Boyko Borissov said after holding a telephone conversation with Turkey’s President Recep Erdogan. Premier Borissov and President Erdogan will meet next Monday. Bulgaria highly appreciates Turkey’s contribution and understands the huge difficulties its neighbor has been facing in its efforts to deal with the migrant crisis, Premier Borissov said. Boyko Borissov contends that in this situation neither Turkey, nor any other country should be left to deal with the problem alone and the EU must support the implementation of the migrant agreement. The two countries will continue to work for peaceful solution to the Syrian crisis. Borissov extended condolences to Turkey for the death of Turkish soldiers in Idlib.
