Bulgarian business is adjusting to new conditions

Currently, the risks to the Bulgarian economy related to COVID-19 are primarily external. Two thirds of Bulgarian exports are to the European Union and Italy is Bulgaria's second trading partner. Exports are already delayed due to the refusal of carriers to travel, Chairman of the Industrial Capital Association Vasil Velev said in an interview with the BNR. He added, however, that Bulgarian companies were quickly adjusting to the new conditions. The biggest losses are for the tourism sector so far. About a quarter of Bulgarians may start working from their homes as a measure against the spread of coronavirus, Velev said.
