Sofia Metropolia led by the Bulgarian Patriarch has ordered measures to avoid the spread of coronavirus. It is ordered that all the temples of the Diocese of Sofia should remain open and services continued to be held. It is indicated that Holy Communion should not be refused for fear of contamination. "The sacred mysteries cannot become source of contagion or any disease, but a cure that gives physical and mental healing," it was said. Believers are urged to observe personal hygiene and to avoid close contact. It is recommended that patients suffering from respiratory illness should not attend public service but pray at home as to avoid infecting other believers.
