Photo: Kiril Falin, BNR

In the wake of the Covid-19 epidemic, mosques in Bulgaria remain open, but common prayers, including Friday prayers, are canceled by a decision of the Mufti Council. The Chief Mufti's Office has called on the sick and people over the age of 60 not to visit Muslim temples.

Catholic churches in the Diocese of Sofia and Plovdiv suspend liturgies with the participation of believers until March 28, 2020. Services will continue to be held there, but with doors closed.
