PM Borissov: Freight traffic problem from Bulgaria to Turkey resolved definitively

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov and the vali of Edirne Ekrem Canalp inspected, together, Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint between the two countries, after the freight traffic passing across it was normalized and the kilometres-long lines of trucks in the direction of Turkey disappeared.

The inspection confirmed the fact that the buffer parking facility for TIR-trucks, urgently created on the site of the former military airport Uzundzhovo in Southern Bulgaria, is functioning well.

Representatives of hauliers thanked the Bulgarian prime minister for the assistance in resolving the problem. The vali of Edirne commented that the lines of trucks along the border are over and done with thanks to the good relations between the two countries. PM Borissov stated on his part that the freight traffic problem between Bulgaria and Turkey has been resolved definitively.
