After the introduction of the state of emergency in Bulgaria on March 13, by the end of March, a total of 142,093 Bulgarians have returned to the country, the Border Police Chief Commissioner Svetlan Kichikov from Bulgaria's Border Police reports. According to Kichikov, the peak in the numbers of returning Bulgarians has already passed. The number of Bulgarians who have left the country is almost the same.
Commissioner Kichikov also pointed out that the processing of one heavy-load truck takes up to 3 minutes at the border crossing checkpoints with Greece and Romania along the green corridors introduced for quick passage of freight vehicles. Together with the customs controls, the stay of one trick at a border crossing rarely exceeds 15 minutes.
