The Bulgarian self-employed people will be able to receive interest-free loans under a scheme by the Bulgarian Development Bank, the Chairperson of the National Assembly Commission on Budget and Finance Menda Stoyanova said. Earlier, the measure applied to the people in unpaid leave only. The self-employed will be able to borrow EUR 750 a month. The interest on the bank loan is paid by the state. The ten-year bank loan offers a five-year grace period. Menda Stoyanova also announced the measure for the small businesses which will be able to receive interest-free credits as well. The Bulgarian MP confirmed that the 60/40 scheme offered by the state to support the companies keep their employees will cover not only salaries, but social-security contributions as well.
