Amidst a global pandemic, please do not travel abroad except as a last resort, said Bulgaria's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Ekaterina Zaharieva in an interview for the national TV channel bTV. Regarding those who have decided to travel abroad for seasonal work now, she stressed: "They leave at their own risk and their own responsibility. The Bulgarian government does not organize this".

Some 50 to 60 thousand Bulgarians seek jobs as seasonal workers abroad every year, Zaharieva added.
Bulgaria's Foreign Minister once again urged those Bulgarian citizens willing to travel for work abroad to rethink their decision and assess whether now is a good time for such steps.
