In a letter to the European Parliament's culture committee, Bulgarian MEP Andrey Slabakov has demanded from EU to set aside funds to support freelance artists.
"I have been working for the creation of a fund in support of freelance professionals in the field of culture and art since the beginning of March, when it became clear that things were very bad," the MEP told the Bulgarian National Radio. Slabakov, who is a director by profession, called for the creation of art platforms through which artists can earn a living.
