Incomes and spending up in first 3 months of 2020

The average aggregate income per household member for the first quarter of 2020 was EUR 875, an increase of 12.7% compared to the same period of 2019.

Salaries account for the biggest share of incomes - 58.5%, followed by pensions - 27.7% and self-employment - 5.6%. The overall spendings per household member for the first quarter of 2020 was EUR 860, an increase of 5.9% compared to 2019. The biggest sums are spent on food - 31%. This is an increase of 9% even though the food consumption is the same. Expenses connected with the home are up by 1.3%, reaching 17.4% of all expenses. Expenses connected with taxes and social security installments are up by 12%, reaching 14.7% of all expenses. Transport and communications account for 11.6% of all expenses
