Bulgarian Parliament to discuss amendments to Radio and Television Act

Photo: Archive

The parliamentary committee on culture and media will discuss at today's meeting two draft amendments to the Radio and Television Act, submitted by MPs from the United Patriots parliamentary party. One of the bills reads that at least 1/3 of the music content in radio and television programmes must be intended for Bulgarian music.
The second bill envisages registration of the sites and platforms in Bulgaria's Electronic Media Council. According to the Bulgarian National Radio, the second proposal is practically inapplicable.
