Business climate in Bulgaria is improving

In May the economic situation in the country took a change for the better compared to the previous three months. The total business climate indicator is up by 11.8 points compared to April as a result of the positive opinions of managers from all sectors monitored – industry, construction, retail trade and services, the National Statistical Institute reports. 
The uncertain economic environment and insufficient demand from the country and abroad remain the most serious problems businesses face. In April the business climate marked its lowest point since 1997 due to high unemployment levels and declining consumer spending.
