Bulgaria will look for support from other countries to file a lawsuit at the EU Court of Justice in Luxembourg, if the disputed Mobility package is adopted in its current form by the European Parliament, this country’s Minister of Transport, Information Technology and Communications Rosen Zhelyazkov said. Many Bulgarian haulers are considering the possibility to register their companies abroad, in order to avoid some restrictive regimes after the Transport Committee of the European Parliament rejected the proposals of Bulgaria and other EU countries for amendments to the Mobility Package, among which was the proposal to drop the return of drivers and cargo vehicles in the country. The texts of the Mobility Package will be voted at a plenary session of the European Parliament on July 8.
