Bulgaria begins substantive talks for construction of two naval patrol vessels

Bulgaria’s Ministry of Defense starts on June 16 direct negotiations with the German company LURSSEN WERFT GmbH&Co.KG which was selected to build two new naval patrol vessels to the tune of EUR 500,000. The Ministry of Defense expects the details of the talks to be clarified and the deal to be closed by the end of the year, despite the delay caused by the coronavirus crisis. According to preliminary information, the patrol ships will be built in Bulgaria in Dolphin shipyard which will be a subcontractor of LURRSEN WERFT.
