German Presidency continues Bulgarian initiative for Western Balkans

Exchanging territories is not a good idea and Germany does not support such ideas. We want the EU to become even more committed to the Western Balkans and the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, said German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas during his visit to Sofia.

All countries in the Western Balkans would like to have European perspective and their efforts will be supported. It is extremely important for Germany to continue the European integration of the Western Balkans, a topic that Bulgaria has already brought up. We will continue this initiative, Mr. Maas added.
