The quality of the seawater along the Southern Black Sea coast is excellent and there are no doubts of contamination, Chief Secretary of the Burgas Regional Health Inspectorate Dr. Mariana Kofinova said. 48 tests were made at different beaches and their quality was perfect. In 2017 there were 23 swimming areas with excellent quality of sea water out of 48 areas tested. In 2018 their number rose to 30 and the sea water in 18 swimming areas was of good quality. Lat year, the seawater in 41 swimming zones was of excellent quality. The improvement is largely due to the infrastructure projects fulfilled by the municipalities located along the Southern Black Sea coast in the recent years, Dr. Kofinova said.
